Oftentimes we hear people always say, “Coming Year ______, please be good to me!”
A new year always brings us hope, new beginnings and new dreams and aspirations. It is giving us another chance to get us back to the platform and rise again if the last years were totally just out of luck for us. And also, it gives us a feeling and a sense to move forward, look forward and facing up to the challenges ahead.
As this year will end, I would like to share and shout out that this year is my year of many firsts. Join me as I go back and reflect my year of many firsts,
First time to go for monthly checkups, my very first time preggo special treatment at work, firstΒ time to ride a bus with a huge belly sometimes standing up when needed to, my first time to crave a lot and sometimes those are unusual food and in unusual time of the day (which I am really sorry for my husband back then), first time to get stared at with my huge belly and my swollen face and nose with lots of warts emerging on my neck, yes, uglier than you may think of I suppose? well crop that, my first time to go on a vacation trip and fly an airplane with a huge belly, my very first time to stop working due to pregnancy complications which lead me to take my short term disability at work on my 32weeks.
First time to be scammed in trying to get a legit online job and that was very unfortunate I know right? which is still worth sharing so others will be warned! Well, I’m wiser now and know all about scams and frauds better now. Ask me. Well, Let’s continue with my firsts….
My first time to get a lot of routine exams such as x-rays, urine, blood extractions, which I can’t remember how many times. First time I had my PapSmear which at first I was so afraid of that surprisingly I handled it very well. My very first time to undergo a MRI and fervently hoping I would not have this again as I really didn’t like the experience of having enclosed in a tube with ringing sounds inside attached to a lot of many things I am not familiar with.
Up to these very first time precious moments…
First time to go on a labour and get to feel the burning and painful sensation of giving birth for 12 hours from my water broke until I had my baby. First time to be a MOM, first time I held my baby in my arms, skin to skin contact, first time I felt that there is nothing more important than the baby I have carried for 40 weeks, first time of sleepless nights, first time struggling with breastfeeding, first time to care for a newborn based on my instincts, first time I cried so hard that I am missing my mother who is so far away to give me the support I need especially during those first time clueless mommy moments,
Up until the first time I learned how to cope up with motherhood, my very first time I took our family selfies, my first time to see my baby smiled at me and babbling things I couldn’t even understand but finding myself amazed and fascinated, my very first time to be pooped at, my very first time on many memorable epic fails like diaper change, baby bath, first baby shop, etc.
The first time my husband and I applied for an express entry immigration program, fortunately, and so blessed that we got approved and just recently flew over to Vancouver to confirmed our permanent residency.
First time to make additional income through legit online jobs and so proud to share my first $150 pay! First time I opened myself to more online job opportunities and until I decided to give the best shot on affiliate marketing with my top choice affiliate program, TRULY RICH CLUB. The first time I set up and get to run my own website. First time learning website development, niche, and keywords significance to get high rankings and traffic to my site which leads me in getting more clients than before and I know many more to come.
And as Christmas and New Year is fast approaching, my very first Christmas and New Year with our little bundle of joy!
A lot of firsts and I know a lot more to come!
I’m ending this year with so many learnings and lots of precious golden moments! I can’t wait to get my 2016 to start with a brand new hope and new beginnings and can’t wait to have my many firsts moments with my baby’s milestones!
I am wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a prosperous and happy new year to all from my family to yours and together let us welcome 2016 with a bang!!!!
Cheers,
Jezza
PS, how did your year of many “firsts” go? Please share in the comments section below. Thanks!
Howdy Jezza. Sounds to me that 2015 is a learning curve.
I see lots of the term ‘first time’ which is great because you experienced a lot of things that never had before.
It seems overwhelming but it’s good assumingly. Speaking of, I hope you’re settling well in WA.
To a better 2016, here we come. – Tar
Hi Tar, 2015 is indeed a learning year to me. I love it here in WA. And yes, all the best for us in 2016! Cheers! π
Jezza, I really enjoyed your post! First of all, let me congratulate you and your husband for your bundle of joy. Your story was very inspiring to me. I have a little bit of knowledge of how you felt as you were in your labor, because I have a son whose mother had to give him birth prematurely. I feel for you.
Hello Luc, thank you so much I really appreciate it! And I find it worth sharing to others all those things that happened to me. It has truly been a journey with so many learnings along the way. I wish you all the best for the next years to come. π
I love this post! You have certainly had a busy and wonderful year! 2015 will certainly be hard to top!
I also started my first online venture in 2015. That is the highlight for me! 2015 overall was a tough year in many ways so I think 2016 is looking bright and I welcome the fresh start.
I wish you nothing but the best in your motherhood journey. It’s not always easy but it’s so worth it!
Happy New Year!
